With 23 chair lifts operating thought the summer
providing 660km of VTT track in the Portes du Soleil,
Chalet Les Pesses is the ideal base for both mountain and
road biking. There are themed circuits for all abilities
that include 14 villages and a number of sites of
interest in both France and Switzerland.
For those wishing for a more demanding experience the
permanent downhill trail served by the Super-Châtel
gondola lift, has been designed to provide the maximum
number of thrills and technical challenge. The trail is
2.7 km (1.7 miles) long and passes through both woodland
and meadows, and its 450 m of vertical drop are equipped
with bumps, banked turns and natural obstacles.
Opening at Pre-La-Joux for summer 2008
The 12 downhill courses which include: 2 green runs, 3
blue runs (one is equipped with bridges, see-saw...), 2
red runs, 5 black runs. A green cross country circuit
(about 2.5Km) at Pre-la-Joux is also available without
the need to use chair lifts.
The
Cross Park
The
North shore style trail:
this course of about 150 m includes several sections
including bridges, see-saws and different natural
obstacles
The
four cross (4X):
this course of about 500 m includes table tops, doubles,
and one step up.
The
dirt zone track:
Has bumps of different sizes for riders to perform jumps
and other aerial tricks to suit their level.
Trial zone track:
to test your manoeuvrability you will find different
artificial and natural trial areas nearby the Cross
park.
